But this is the problem I have seen as a golf instructor that many girls have learnt absolutely wrong ways of playing golf. So whenever I am teaching ladies, I analyze their game first and then if they do not play the well then I ask them to forget everything that your husband has ever taught about golf.

Learn the ABC from a professional instructor or a professional playerIf you are interested in the game but are not sure whether you should play or not and you never tried then you must ask your husband for a game of golf. This will give you the idea of what the game is about. Although you might not love the game initially, but this game can be very important as your husband loves it.

So make sure that whenever your husband has taught you the game you still should take instructions from a professional golf instructor or player. This will help you in gaining the most important lessons of golf.

Do not buy a full set of clubs initially:

You will find numerous companies manufacturing golf clubs for women. These golf clubs are in high demand as more women have started to play golf in the last few years. If you ask me then I would recommend you to use a 3-wood, 6, 8, pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter. It is not important for you to buy these equipments of the highest quality since you are just starting to play therefore lesser expensive equipments will do the job for you.

No need to play 18 holes:

As you have just started playing the game so there is no need to play every hole. What I mean here is that if you are tired of playing golf then you can skip a hole or two to make the game shorter and more interesting. The important thing for you is to enjoy the game.So, start playing golf as this will allow you to enjoy more and more time with you hubby and at the same time you will enjoy this interesting and exciting game.
